Welcome to Season 5
Season 5: The Blossoming Blade kicked off on March 6, 2025, and it’s packed with new challenges, monsters, and game updates to keep things fresh and fun.
New Monsters and Quests
Meet the New Monsters
Before the season started, we met Chatacabra on February 28th. Now, Glavenus and Arzuros have joined the hunt! Glavenus loves fire and will appear in limited numbers, while Arzuros is easier to find and can be unlocked in the Monster Tracker after completing specific quests.
Monster Unlock Quests
Season 5 introduces monster unlock quests. Complete these quests to bring back monsters from past seasons and make them appear in the field and Monster Tracker. You can unlock monsters like Radobaan, Pink Rathian, and Deviljho, among others.
Gameplay Enhancements
Balance Adjustments and New Skills
The Sword & Shield weapon type has been improved, making it easier to target breakable parts. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) now rewards precise timing with better performance. The Guard skill now gives more damage reduction as skill levels increase. Plus, there are two new skills: Shared Sword boosts attack power during group hunts, and Raw Power increases attack power but reduces weapon affinity.
New Features and Items
Event Exchange Hub and Item Box Expansion
On March 17th, a new Event Exchange Hub will open, letting you trade materials for rewards during events. You can also expand your item storage by 250 slots with the Item Box Expansion, available as a Supply Item.
Season 5 Pass and Repost Campaign
Season 5 has a new Season Pass, and while you can’t raise your Season 4 tier anymore, you can still claim rewards for a limited time. To celebrate the launch, there’s a repost campaign on X that offers exclusive materials for equipment upgrades if the post reaches 5,000 reposts.
